Terms of Service
The terms for ordering and using Underwriter Mind Risk Reports, written to be read. The summary below covers what matters most.
Last updated October 8, 2026
The short version
- A report is research compiled from public information, not advice or an underwriting decision.
- Check the cited sources before relying on any finding.
- The report belongs to the company that bought it: file it, share it internally, keep it.
- Use reports for commercial purposes only, never to judge an individual's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment or housing.
Who we are
These terms are an agreement between you and Underwriter Mind, LLC, an Arizona limited liability company (“Underwriter Mind,” “we,” “us”). By placing an order, you agree to them. If you order on behalf of a company, you accept them on its behalf and confirm that you're authorized to.
The service
Underwriter Mind produces Risk Reports on businesses. You name a business; we research its publicly available information, including its website, customer reviews, social profiles, building permits and public records, using automated, AI-assisted analysis. We then email you a PDF listing the operations we found, with confidence scores, and citing the sources behind its findings.
Every report searches a consistent set of public sources, but we can't guarantee that any particular source will be found or reachable, or that every operation a business performs is documented publicly.
What a report is, and isn't
A report is a research tool. It isn't an underwriting decision, insurance advice, a coverage recommendation, or an opinion on whether to write an account. It shows what public sources say about a business's operations, without confirming them with the business or on site, and it doesn't verify ownership, licensing, permits, insurance or regulatory compliance.
Findings come from public sources that can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and automated analysis can misread them. That's why reports cite their sources: review the cited material before you rely on a finding, and apply your own judgment and your company's guidelines.
Permitted use
Reports are about businesses, not individuals, and are for commercial use, such as evaluating a business when underwriting a commercial insurance account. You agree not to use a report, or anything in it, to determine an individual's eligibility for credit, for insurance for personal, family or household purposes, for employment or for housing, or for any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Underwriter Mind is not a consumer reporting agency, and its reports are not consumer reports.
You also agree not to use the service unlawfully, to harass anyone, or to interfere with how it runs.
Orders and payment
Prices are shown on our website and at checkout before you pay. Payment is taken when you order and is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Each order buys a single report, and there are no subscriptions. Refunds are covered by our Refund & Dispute Policy.
You're responsible for the details you enter. A report researches the business as your order describes it, so an incorrect name or location can produce a report on a different business.
Company accounts
A company account lets people at one company order reports billed to a card the company saves with Stripe. Whoever sets one up confirms that they may act for the company and save its card.
The company is responsible for every report ordered on its account by anyone its settings allow, whether that's everyone who confirms an email at its domain or only the people its admins approve. Each report is charged to the company card at the listed price when it's ordered.
We review every company account before it opens, and we may decline, suspend, or close any account. The company's admins can close it at any time. Reports already ordered are still delivered and charged.
Your report
Once paid for, a report belongs to the company that bought it. File it with the account, share it within your organization, or keep it as a dated record of what was checked.
We may keep a copy of each report we deliver and use it to support your order and any dispute about it, to review the quality of our reports, and to test improvements to how they're made. Buying a report on a business doesn't stop us from researching that business for other customers.
The Underwriter Mind name, logo, website and software, and the methods used to build reports, remain ours. Sources cited in a report belong to their owners. Links to them are provided so you can verify findings, and they may stop working as those sites change.
Disclaimers
The service and reports are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
You're responsible for the decisions you make using a report. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from the service or any report, including decisions made using a report. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and the terms in effect when you place an order apply to that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
